Basset Hound

| Recognized dog breed group by American Kennel Club, Hound group includes 26 breeds, which are developed to hunt using sight or scent.
Hound breeds are quite varied, but most of them are descended from the same ancestors and have the same hunting abilities. Some hounds have keen sense of smell, while others have remarkable stamina that drives them to pursue their targets. There are, however, a lot of exceptions to this rule, as the Group includes a diverse range of individuals. Norwegian Elkhounds, Pharaoh Hounds, Afghan Hounds, and Beagles are just a few examples. If you want a dog that bays like a predator, you must listen to it before getting one.
